One of my clients found him
The man she actually wanted. Aligned, healthy, kind, present, attractive, purposeful. The whole bakery.

And so she should be happy right? Even ecstatic?
But she is grieving instead. So much sadness over all the times she accepted breadcrumbs and thought it was all there is to receive. Anger towards herself for all the times she ignored her own intuition, truth and voice.Shame for staying months, sometimes years in relationships that were downright abusive.
Waves of grief are hitting her now that she finally feels held and seen and understood and loved.
All those years of settling started to make themselves known. Every time she talked herself into believing that half-present, half-available, occasionally cruel was just what love looked like.
It wasn't. She knew that. She always knew.
Safe doesn't always feel good at first.
Sometimes it feels like finally putting something heavy down and realizing how long you were carrying it.
