A client told me her therapist said she's "not ready for a conscious relationship yet."
I asked what that means. She said she needs to work on herself first. Get clear. Heal her patterns. Then she'll be ready for something real.

I told her that's bullshit.
You don't get clear in isolation. You get clear in contact. With a man who actually sees you. Who doesn't let you hide behind your polish or your walls or your endless self-improvement projects.
The women who grow the most aren't the ones who wait until they're ready. They're the ones who choose a man who can handle them at their worst and then stay in the room when it gets hard.
Growth isn't a prerequisite for relationship. It's what happens when you stop leaving every time it gets uncomfortable.
Your patterns don't disappear because you journaled about them for six months. They disappear when you stay present with a man who loves you enough to not let you run them on autopilot.
Tatiana didn't become easier to be with because she healed herself first. She became easier to be with because she stayed. Through the challenges. Through the moments she wanted to bail. Through every impulse to protect herself by shutting down.
Most women are waiting to be fixed before they let someone in all the way.
The connection and relationship is the work.
Not the thing you do after the work is done.
