Self-awareness is the most mislabelled thing in personal development right now
Women come to me having done years of therapy, courses, coaching, journalling. They can recite their wounds like a grocery list. They know their attachment style, their nervous system patterns, their father wound. They've mapped every place they fall short.

And they call this knowing themselves.
It isn't. It's a more sophisticated relationship with self-criticism. You've just given it better vocabulary.
Real self-awareness is bilateral. You see what's broken and you see what's strong. You know where you collapse and you know where you hold. You understand your damage and you also understand your gift.
I've watched women tear themselves apart in sessions with genuine intellectual precision. They've done the work, they know the theory, they can spot their patterns in real time. But ask them to name three things they do well, and they go quiet.
Uncomfortable quiet. Like the question itself is a trick.
That discomfort is the data.
If you can only see what's wrong with you, you haven't become self-aware. You've become a better self-critic. The label changed. The relationship didn't.
We start there.
