95% of finding a good relationship is selection
Not who you pick. Which version of yourself you bring.

Most women I talk to have spent years building a self that works. Capable. Independent. Composed. It got them through hard things. It earned them respect. It probably made someone proud. That version of them is real. It's also armour.
And armour is magnetic to a certain kind of man. The one who needs a woman who won't need him. The one who mistakes composure for compatibility. The one who will never have to go deeper because you've already handled everything.
You don't find a bad man. You find a man who fits the self you presented.
The part of you that's soft, uncertain, a little unfinished. The part that didn't get what it needed growing up and quietly built an identity around not needing it anymore. That part doesn't scare healthy men away. It's actually what they're looking for. It's the only version of you they can actually love, because it's the only version that's fully you.
The projected self might get chosen. It will not get known.
A man who is grounded, who has done his own work, who isn't looking for someone to manage or to complete him, that man can't build anything real with a woman who won't let him see her.Because there's nothing to hold on to.
You don't have to perform being loveable.
You just have to stop performing.
