For most of my adult life, being with a woman made life harder
Weekly conflict. Walking on eggshells. Energy spent managing moods and unspoken expectations. A relationship felt like a second job, and not one I was good at because somehow I always felt like I was failing.

I assumed that was just how it went.
Then I met a woman in my late thirties and life became easier. Significantly easier. I had more energy. My health improved. My business grew. My joy came back. Everything that mattered to me got better.
I was stunned. I didn't know this was even possible.
I'd spent years thinking the friction was the relationship, that closeness just cost you something. I'd never stopped to ask whether the cost had anything to do with who I was choosing, or who I was being.
When I felt how different it could be, something in me locked in. Not as a decision I had to force. As something obvious. I knew I would do whatever it took to keep her in my life.
That woman is now my wife.
And life is still getting better.
