The healthy ones aren't on the apps scrolling at 11pm: Jan-Willem van der Heiden, relationship coach

They're living their lives. Building something. Seeing friends. Training. Reading. Working late on a project that matters to them.

They're not unavailable. They're just occupied.

Which means you might not find them where you're looking.

My wife didn't meet me through strategy. She met me because she was living her actual life. She was in Bali for herself. I was focused on my work, not swiping. We crossed paths because we were both doing something we loved.

Most women are fishing in a pool of men who have time to fish back.

The man you want is probably at the climbing gym on a Thursday night. Or deep in a book at a cafe. Or helping a mate move. He's not optimising his dating profile. He's not even thinking about it most of the time.

You find him by being findable. By living a life that puts you in proximity to men who are also living theirs.

Just the edges of a life that's full enough to be interesting.
